There has been a Parish Magazine since 1895 when the Revd. Frederick Gardner started it shortly after being appointed Rector at Goldhanger - that makes it approximately 00 years old! There have only been a few breaks in publication in all that time, most notably during both World Wars.
There are some differences (as you would expect after all this time); the magazine is edited and published independently by volunteers, it now only covers Goldhanger, rather than Goldhanger and Little Totham as it used to, and it is free to all Goldhanger households (it cost one penny in 1919). You can also view the magazine online and save it to your computer, so you can view it later in glorious technicolour. Please don't stop reading the one that comes through your door though.
All advertising to be in by the 13th of the month and all articles and news to be in by the 15th of the month please. We need time to compile the magazine and send it in for the printer's deadline of the 20th of the month.
The links below open a PDF of the Parish Magazine, which you can save and keep. The magazines are added to this list around the beginning of each month.
We welcome contributions about the village and village activities. Send your article and photos to the Parish Mag Editors. If your article is not about Goldhanger we may ask for a small donation.
